The best framing for Sub-DAO’s that are separate entities, not subsidiaries of the DAOs is service providers. This team is providing a service to the DAO (running the events) at no cost and taking on all risks (if the event loses money, we absorb that), and return 50% of any profit.
So given we’re taking on the risk, we’ve asked for a fair amount of flexibility to deliver, including how we manage contributors at the team’s discretion. Feedback on this approach is valuable as lots of work still to do here to refine the rails but trying to get to a world where the DAO doesn’t get in the way of value being created for members by other Members, with the right constraints.
I’d prefer this also - sadly, it’s gone to a vote on snapshot, so it can’t be edited, but I’m sure the team would be happy to only be provided with the reards on success.
