Proposal for January - March Quarter
Requesting 9k USDC for January - March Quarter to renew the Coordination/Marketing Role that is currently being managed by myself (Billyjitsu) and marketing led by Narbs.
What were the results from the last quarter?
Coordination:
We sent 3 devs to Dev Connect and hosted a meetup event that was a success. We got a few messages about liking more of a relaxed change of pace vibe that they know other D_D members would be at. It brought more activity to primary projects, Dev N Tell and D_D Cloud.
Investments:
Due to the events of 10/10, we pulled all positions to avoid risk until the end of the year in order to see the after effects of the event.
Futex Labs / D_D Cloud:
D_D Cloud Launched early beta and onboarding clients
Dev N Tell:
Continues to have the weekly show representing the brand of the highest quality.
Ventures:
Ventures was put on hold to handle logistic issues that slowed down contract signing and payments. It has now been resolved this January hence the late proposal.
What’s the plan for the this quarter?
From the last proposal, we have 600 dollars available (from the DeFi fund) that we want to use to reactivate “Vibes” calls. Due to the end of the year and the schedule of Dev Connect and the December Holidays, it was difficult to get a good reliable schedule to get people interested and we decided to wait until this quarter to execute. While the “just hang out” was nice, we are rethinking of ways that members may want to use the time. We didn’t want to spend money for the sake of spending money.
We are requesting 9k for operations and marketing. This will be split between Narbs and Billyjitsu for ongoing efforts through this quarter in which budgets and performance quotas from last quarter will be analyzed.
The investment team is back earning yield to help with monthly costs (as you can see in the deBank link). The original 10% on profits agreement has not been put into effect as the team wants to keep the yield growing to a point where it makes sense to do so.
We may have a small gathering at ETH Denver if partnerships allow us to do so. If not we will coordinate a small meetup.
The focus is making our two primary products, Dev N Tell and D_D Cloud, successful.
The financial requests for campaigns for Dev N Tell and D_D Cloud will come out of their budgets and the DeFi investment fund moving forward.
