Proposal Title

Authors: separated by commas

View the discussion from the last stage of the proposal here. (provide a link)

Summary

A simple description of the proposalā€™s result and desired changes. It should be no more than a few sentences.

Motivation

Explain why this proposal is necessary or valuable for the community in general. How is it adding value, and what problem or opportunity does this proposal target?

Scope of Work

Domain of Operations & Team

Sub-DAOs should clearly state the main ā€œdomainsā€ of work they will cover on behalf of the DAO. Sub-DAOs should indicate how their experience makes them suitable for specific domains or domains.

Examples of domains include (but are not limited to) the following: Events, Jobs, DevRel, and Consulting. Whilst some overlap might occur across Sub-DAOs, we donā€™t recommend overlapping too much since work can become redundant in those cases. In some instances, it might make sense to have overlapping Sub-DAOs. A potential example might be D_D Merch shops focused on different areas worldwide.

Please clearly state who will be contributing, including DAO Membership status, relevant experience in and outside of the DAO, and their role on the project.

OKRs

Sub-DAOs must demonstrate their OKRs in their funding proposal, including how they will help the DAO achieve its higher-level OKRs. This is to keep the DAO ā€œon missionā€, not restrict value creation for the DAO via bureaucracy. As such, whilst the proposal authors are encouraged to share details of their plans, they should intentionally leave flexibility to innovate and adapt to achieve their aims.

Finally, an overview of how requested funds will be spent to help achieve their OKRs must be included in the Proposal. If a Sub-DAO requires additional funds before the end of the funding period, a request can be made directly to the Stewards.

Budget Request (Including value returned to the DAO)

Please clearly state the Budget you are requesting from the treasury. Requests can be made for any assets from the Treasury, and Stewards will review them.

$CODE rewards are calculated using a 15 $ CODE/hour rate. If you are generating revenue, please clearly state how you return value to the DAO Treasury.

Drawbacks

Optional section if drawbacks should be identified.

Might be worth adding some form of ā€˜contingency planā€™ or buffer to the template as a separate heading in case of a bear market like the one we are facing now.

Would a team be able to function if we face a bear market and their budget has to be decreased by 10-20%? itā€™s quite similar to the GTC amendment here because by my calculation you will be receiving a lower salary by around 10% if this proposal goes through, from $10k to $9.1k but you can continue to work

thanks for your thoughts man. not sure adding thin here is a the right place? maybe having a policy at the DAO level regarding rewards and how they are calculated on a season basis. this is going to be an on-going challenge as we try to refine how rewards works for sure.

believe itā€™s important we open up a bigger conversation in the DAO with regards to a) how rewards are currently working re [DRAFT 2] Rewarding Contributions in $CODE with $CODE rewards vs revenue/grants vs (at least currently) FT staff receiving an more ā€œrealā€ income now from the treasury.

Plan to raise this on the rewarding contributions in $CODE post either today or over the weekend
